Frank Furness and Henry Holiday: A Study of Patronage, Architecture and Art

Furness's relationship with Holiday was unique. Furness was not the only architect to form a relationship with a stained glass designer, but his dealings with Holiday represent more than just a business relationship. Over the years, these two men of very different backgrounds and temperaments connected both personally and artistically, and the relationship also proved beneficial to both of them. It is true that Holiday had no identifiable influence on Furness's architectural design apart from having his windows included in them.
