Nev. Senate unanimously passes bill for NV Energy to replace coal-fired plants

The Nevada Senate on May 22 unanimously passed and sent to the nstate’s Assembly a bill that partially fulfills NV Energy Inc.’s NVision nplan by providing the means and authority for the utility to retire 800 nMW of coal-fired generation and replace it with 550 MW of gas-fired ngeneration and 350 MW of renewable energy resources.
