MSHA to unveil proximity detector rule for underground coal haulage gear

The U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration will propose arnrule Sept. 2 requiring underground coal mine operators to installrnproximity detectors on haulage machinery to help prevent workersrnfrom being hit, crushed or pinned by the equipment.
