Consol Energy Inc. reported record annual production and sales volumesat its Pennsylvania Mining Complex, defying broader U.S. coal productiontrends as it returns cash to shareholders by cashing in on opportunities tolock in solid pricing when the market allows.Coal production from the company’s three-mine coal complex increasedapproximately 21% since 2015 in the same period U.S. coal productiondeclined by about 16%, said Consol Energy CEO Jimmy Brock on a Feb. 7earnings call.
