The 25 largest Northern Appalachia coal mines saw a slight increase infourth-quarter and overall 2018 production from the year-ago periods, postinggains of 1.9% and 2%, respectively.Those mines produced 24.5 million tons of coal in the last three monthsof 2018, a 7% increase from the previous quarter, and 94.7 million tons duringthe 12-month period, according to data compiled by S&P Global MarketIntelligence.
