Presentation of the extended Knotty Heritage Train at Blythe Bridge, Foxfield Railway

On 1st May I attended a very pleasant private event for press and sponsors to launch the newly restored North Staffordshire Railway brake third No.23, originally built cl890. Added to their recent restoration of 'Knotty' coaches Nos. 61 and 127, this now gives the Foxfield line a three coach period train. In memory of his father Leonard's daily use of the NSR line from Cheadle to Newcastle under Lyne to travel to school, our member Peter Worsley and his family made a generous donation towards the restoration and a small plaque has been installed in the carriage by way of commemoration.
