Web geographic information system

摘要

The aim of the work reported is to implement a web GIS architecture for Internet. Four key techniques for web GIS are identified: GIS data transfer protocol, dynamic link between web GIS and web database, distributed computing and parallel processing, and portability. A demonstration of the implementation of the web GIS application is given by operating a simple test database.
