In March, the Washington, D.C., Chapter's Young AFCEANs once again provided support to the West Point High School Leadership and Ethics Conference hosted by the West Point class of 1979 and the West Point Society of D.C. The conference fosters leadership development and ethical behavior for high school students and their peers. Current West Point cadets served as facilitators and mentors to individual groups of roughly 15 to 20 students each, walking them through real-world ethical scenarios and leading discussions on how best to resolve the given situations. Each group then presented one of the scenarios—including recommendations on how to approach and handle the circumstance as well as the desired outcome—to the entire contingent.
