Department's Mapping Software Clears Path to Improved Housing

A government agency is giving private citizens, through neighborhood organizations and local governments, an improved way to connect to their communities. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has released version 2.0 of its Community 2020 mapping program. The software, developed by the agency's office of community planning and development, enables municipal governments, citizens' groups, academic organizations and businesses to map their communities to identify and meet housing needs.
