Think Tank Pushes for Cybersecurity Renaissance

The Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology, a fledgling cybersecurity think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C., is pushing for the technology industry to improve the protection of the nation's critical infrastructure by prioritizing security over profits. The think tank, also known as the ICIT, was founded five years ago as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides nonpartisan research, advisories and education to legislative, commercial and public-sector cybersecurity stakeholders. For example, the think tank recently reviewed four different audits of Defense Department systems and consolidated the findings into one report.
