Digital CCS engineering (PlanPro) paves the way for the 'Digital Rail' program

The DB "Digital Rail Germany" program has once again reinforced the previously identified need for acceleration and automation in the engineering of command and control systems (CCS). The realisation of the planned project volume is only possible, if the engineering is digital and data-oriented. The PlanPro object model and the tools based on it therefore provide an essential basis, which must be further developed and implemented. With the PlanPro version 1.9.0.2 object model, published in October 2019, digital interlocking (DSTW), ETCS and level crossing design can now also be fully mapped. The first engineering tools and the PlanPro toolbox for validating and visualising the planning content will be available from the beginning of 2020.
