EDITORIAL

摘要

Dear Readers, concepts such as the Internet of Things, machine learning or autonomous systems are commonly used during the course of digitisation which is becoming a prevalent factor among all modern transport operators. Digital solutions will also have to be applied in future railway systems in order to ensure the capacity and competitiveness of rail-bound transport. The area of tension which already exists between safety and security will only intensify as a result and as such it is necessary for our branch to make intensive efforts to come to grips with this topic. The goal of these efforts should be to reduce the complexity of the interface between security and safety and to ensure the introduction of standardisation.
