Wenn neue Bauprojekte erstellt werden, sorgen inzwischen digitale Modelle für Kosteneffizienz und Zeitersparnis. Nicht nur bei den Planungen des Bauwerks, sondern auch bei der Umsetzung und dem späteren Betrieb. Mit BIM ist die Zukunft des Bauens zum Greifen nah. Dargestellt wird dieses an einem der Pilotprojekte bei der Deutsche Bahn AG (DB). Auf Basis eines 3-D-Modells werden Bauabläufe und Kosten verknüpft um ihren Verlauf zu simulieren.
