A generic service access network platform

摘要

Changes in the telecommunications environment - the service needs of customers, deregulation, distribution technologies and standardized open interfaces - have a great impact on network structures and requirements for equipment. This impact is most felt in the access area, that area between the service nodes and the subscribers. This paper reviews the evolution in the access area and describes a generic service platform as an optimum solution to meet these requirements and provide the flexibility to adapt to individual service needs.
