Coasters often run into trouble during winter storms, but recently two had problems during mid-summer. Selene Prahm (1994/1584gt), on a voyage from Vouski in Finland to Dusseldorf on 26 June with a cargo of cellulose, ran aground in the river Rhine. The vessel was held fast near Duisburg and could not manage to refloat under her own power despite all the crew's efforts. She had to remain aground due to lack of water until a passing inland waterway craft managed to tow her off.
