Disney dream's keel-layingrnceremony took place on 26 August, marking a major milestone in the construction of two new ships for Disney Cruise Line by the Meyer Werft shipyard, Papenburg, Germany. Disney Dream is scheduled to enter service in 2011, followed by Disney Fantasy in 2012. Each will have a gross tonnage of 128,000 and carry 3,750 passengers, more than doubling the line's capacity on its present ships, the 2,400-passenger Disney Magic (1998/83,338gt) and Disney Wonder (1999/83,308gt).
