Major vessels enter service

Two major new vessels have made their debuts recently with Norfolkline's Scottish Viking arriving in Rosyth from Zeebrugge to open Norfolkline's service on 19 May, before LD Lines introduced Norman Arrow between Dover and Boulogne on 6 June, a little later than first envisaged.rnScotland's first minister, Alex Salmond, headed the welcoming party when Scottish Viking arrived in the Forth to inauguraterna three-times-a-week service, which revives the link dropped by Superfast Ferries at the end of September last year.rnThe third of a four vessel series built at the Visentini yard in northern Italy for charter deployment by Epic Shipping of London, Scottish Viking can carry 880 passengers with cabin berths for 427 and vehicle space totalling 2,250 lane metres spread over five decks. Scottish Viking sails from Rosyth every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
