Woes for Discovery Sun

DISCOVERY CRUISE LINE'S Port Everglades-based day cruise ship, Discovery Sun (1968/11,979gt), cancelled all her sailings between 5 and 30 April. The vessel, which can carry up to 1,200 passengers on day trips to Freeport, Bahamas, developed problems with her port main engine which required what were described as 'urgent repairs'. Her programme was suspended, initially until 12 April. The work took longer than expected and resumption of service was further delayed until 1 May.
