As a young boy designer,Paul Hilditch, recalled climbing aboard the Cutty Sark, imagining the exhilarating feelings associated with actually sailing on one of those ships. He recalled the trauma of seeing the Cutty Sark wrecked by fire in 2007 and of his childhood airfix models being thrown away by his mother. Paul smiles," I have created something that can stand colossal temperatures and is too valuable to be thrown away by a family member fed up of dusting! Smugglers Cove came flooding from a porthole in my subconscious mind and I am amazed myself at the Cornish fantasy I have created."
