The arrival of MSC Lirica (2003/59,058gt) at Harwich lnternational Port on a transit call on 13 April signalled the start of the port's longest ever cruise season. That ship is also scheduled to finish the season when she calls again on 12 October. The bulk of the calls will be made by the three ships based at the port for all or part of the summer, Discovery (1971/20,216gt), Jewel of the seas (2004/90,090gt) and Thomson Spirit (1983/33,930gt).
