While work continued to salvage Costa Concordia, another member of the Italian cruise giant's fleet had problems in the Indian Ocean. Costa Allegra lost all power following a generator room fire during a voyage from Madagascar to the Seychelles on 26 February, and was drifting until taken under tow by a French trawler. There were no injuries among more than 600 passengers and nearly 400 crew, but only cold food could be served, and passengers had to sleep on the open decks.
