Noah encounters problems

The 1,400dwt coaster Noah (794gt) has been a regular visitor to the river Trent for many years under various names. Built by the now defunct Yorkshire Dry Dock shipyard at nearby Hull in 1986, she was part of the R. Lapthorn fleet of coasters and named Hoocrest. In 2006 she was sold, but still traded to the river firstly as Curlew and later as River Carrier of the Armac Shipping fleet. Since August 2011 she has been operated by Euro Med Trade Co of Damietta, Egypt, who named her Noah, firstly under the flag of Malta and recently under the Moldova flag.
