Established in April 2005 in partnership with French regional authority Conseil General de la Manche to improve sea connections between ports in Normandy and the Channel Islands, Manche lles Express carried its one millionth passenger in August, Services link Granville, Dielette and Barneville-Carteret in Normandy with Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark, and this year's numbers are 12 percent ahead of figures for 2012. Manche lles Express operate two Norway-built Fjellstrand Flying Cats, Marin-Marie (1994) and the 35m Victor Hugo, plus 1997-built monohull Tocqueville.
