First LNG-fuelled AT/B container carrier

Two American companies have joined forces to begin developing the world's first LNG-powered articulated tug/ barge (AT/B) unit for operation in the container trades. Ocean Tug & Barge Engineering Corporation of Milford, Massachusetts, a pioneering firm in the AT/B sector, will design the unit for Minyan Marine of Houston, Texas, which will operate the vessel in the coastwise US Jones Act trade.
