A Chinese nuclear submarine has arrived in Qingdao to become a museum ship at the Chinese Navy Museum. The North Sea Fleet of the People's Liberation Army Navy said the boat arrived at the museum on 15 October 2016, adding that, 'Before arriving at the museum, the submarine's nuclear parts have been removed, in accordance with international standards, so the boat is completely safe'. Although it has not been officially identified, a report by PLA Pictorial said the boat is the CNS Long March-1, a Type-091 Han class SSN, retired after over 40 years of service.
