LIVERY CHANGE

It is 70 years since Costa started operating passenger ships, initially in the emigrant trade, and the company's livery has changed little over those years. Now, the style of the ships' names as displayed on the bow has been tweaked. At a time when several cruise lines are applying swathes of hull art, Costa has altered the font and position of the names and added a stylised Italian flag, or at least the colours, under the letters. The first ship to receive the treatment was Costa Mediterranea, with all of the fleet to be treated by the end of 2018.
