Safecomnet Takes Furuno To A Different Sphere

Furuno has entered into the global air-time business for Ku-band VSAT, in a development called sareuom-Net. Made possible through a partnership with Eutelsat and SpeedCast, SafeComNet is based on a Global Network Management System (GNMS) that incorporates Automatic Beam Switching technologies.It is a first in the maritime industry using multiple Ku-band beams around the world.This will allow seafarers auto-matic and seamless operations when their vessels cross several coverage areas of multiple satel-lite beams.
