DNV and DOW to collaborate on gas-fuelled ships

Drydocks World and DNV have entered into a cooperation agreement focusing on the development of gas-fuelled ships and other energy efficient innovations. DNV will provide technical assistance to Drydocks World's projects, and support the yard with technical expertise in conversion projects, specifically related to enhanced environmental performance of ships. ‘We are happy to enter into this agreement with DNV. It enables DDW to capitalize on DNV's competencies and extensive maritime expertise on a global basis in assisting us to improve operational efficiency and overall capabilities,' said Drydocks World chairman Khamis Juma Buamim.
