CleanBallast system successful in operation

The ballast water treatment system CleanBallast was developed by RWO GmbH - Marine Water Technology, Bremen and has proven successful in operation on several vessels. It consists of a special mechanical filter process and an advanced disinfection unit and has so far been ordered for more than 40 plants. A number of these plants have been installed and are in successful commercial operation since the end of 2009, making CleanBallast one of the few systems that can demonstrate a longer operational duration in commercial application. According to RWO, CleanBallast is the only commercially available German manufactured and type-certified ballast water treatment system.
