The business environment has become significantly worse for ocean shipping in many markets. The economic crisis in Asia, Latin America and Russia and their influence on the world economy are having a greater impact on shipping markets than initially expected. So says a report from German shipowners' association Verband Deutscher Reeder. The association does not believe a rapid change in trend will take place in the markets.
