Shetlands pilot boat breaks mould

The small but productive East Anglian boat yard run by the husband and wife team of Alan and Sue Goodchild has turned out another superbly finished and well thought out pilot boat. However, breaking with common practice, which tends to favour Nelson hullforms for this type of application, Goodchild Marine Services has based the new boat, named Lyrie, on a Cygnus hull. As its name suggests, the Cyfish 39 is a design more usually associated with the fishing industry.
