It was a unique moment, firing up electronic systems that had not been used for 10 years. Predictably not much worked and without any handbooks to help it was a struggle to get to grips with the systems. The electronics themselves were 18 years old and what was state-of-the-art at that time looked very antiquated in the light of modern marine electronics.
