The 180,000m~2 area of the Fujian Southeast Shipyard is crowded with coastal freighters in for repair and a series of modern anchor handling tugs in various stages of construction, writes Alan Haig-Brown. This ISO9001-certified yard has the capability of building ships to 10,000tonnes but also it has a long history of building fishing boats.
