Tug Malta takes delivery of multi-purpose tug from Spanish yard

Spinola was delivered in July 2009 from Astilleros Armon of Navia, Spain, and is the second in a series of multi-purpose escort tugs built for Tug Malta. This vessel incorporates a number of significant changes from the previous vessel of this class, Messico (a Significant Small Ships of 2008-nominated vessel).rnSpinola was classed by Registro Italiano Navale (RINa) and will be suitable for a wide range of duties including harbour towage and ship-handling, coastal towing, salvage and escort operations.
