USA shipyard SeaArk Marine Inc recently completed the first two boats of a five-boat contract for the Haiti Coast Guard. The vessels were purchased through the Global Peace and Security Fund, administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), through the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC).rnThe contract included SeaArk Model 12.19m (40ft) 'V Dauntless' class vessels. The vessels have a length waterline of 10.97m (36ft), a beam of 4.2m (14ft) and a draught of 0.91m (3ft). The patrol boats will achieve a service speed of 22kts and a maximum speed of 26kts.
