UK marine safety specialists Cosalt has secured a major contract with ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne for the supply of its Premier 2010 lifejacket range to meet Marine Safety Committee (MSC) regulations that will be implemented in July.rnThe contract worth ￡55,000 (US$78,551) is to supply the lifejackets for the largest ferry operator on the West Coast of Scotland, Caledonian MacBrayne.rnThe contract anticipates the new and more stringent safety at sea MSC regulations (MSC20 (80)) which is to be implemented in July 2010. Cosalt Premier 2010 is believed to be the first inherently buoyant lifejacket in the world to be approved to the new standard.
