SKF keeps it simple for ship and boat crew

Swedish marine monitoring solutions provider SKF has released a new and compact monitoring package, intended for use aboard a wide range of boat types, including dredgers, fishing vessels, tugs and offshore supply vessels. The SKF Marine Condition Monitoring Kit has been developed as a user-friendly application, to enable seafarers to evaluate the condition of onboard rotating systems, via vibration data measurements, and allowing them to pinpoint the sources of any faults affecting the machinery, even if these members of personnel have little or no prior training in deploying such data-gathering devices.
