Barito Equator a first for SteadFast and Damen

Indonesian builder SteadFast Marine has delivered what has been hyped as the country's first trailing suction hopper dredger, in the form of the 2,682gt Barito Equator. The product of a joint venture between SteadFast's Kalimantan yard and Damen Shipyards Group, Barito Equator was constructed to the specifications of Damens TSHD 2500 class, billed as being the designer's/builder's largest vessel of this type to date.
