HamiltonJet introduces new station master

HamiltonJet's new JETanchor positioning system has been hailed as a dynamic positioning (DP)-styled solution for smaller vessels that may be reliant on accurate station keeping, but for whom expensive, full-scale DP systems are too costly or impractical. "We have developed the JETanchor product as a much more cost-effective solution for small-to-medium vessel waterjet applications," Albear Montocchio, HamiltonJet global marketing manager, tells Ship & Boat International. "The JETanchor system cost is very small when compared to larger DP systems, which also require large, ongoing compliance costs." The solution is primarily being pitched to the owners of pilot boats, firefighting / SAR craft, patrol boats, dive support and survey vessels and offshore CTVs.
