Turning the scales

Sustainability has become a key consideration across the marine industry, and especially so in the aquaculture support sector, where the need to cultivate clean seas and protect marine life creates a unique set of challenges. To help to meet this need, Macduff Ship Design and builder Ferguson Marine Engineering have successfully completed and delivered the aquaculture support and salmon delousing vessel Kallista Helen to Scottish boatowner and operator Inverlussa. The vessel has been hailed as the first of its kind to be designed and built in Scotland, and it will be chartered out to operator Scottish Sea Farms.
