POWER EXCHANGE AND ITS SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN THE INDIAN RESTRUCTURED ELECTRICITY MARKET

Power systems are becoming more complex around the world and most of the countries are facing challenges in balancing between supply and demand. The restructured electricity environment has created a competitive electricity market. Even in the context of an open access framework, strategic marketing implementation has become one of the most complex and important behaviours on the electricity market Traders just want to maximize their profits. To develop a competitive framework of trading for electric generators (suppliers) and electric energy consumers within the restructured electric energy market places, a brief study is taken and investigation of reorganized electricity marketing is carried out Operating together with the system's substantial constraints is a major threat to trading across all generators (suppliers) in this restructured power marketing process. In these market conditions, utilities must continue operating under govt policies and guidelines, including regulations, thus ensuring maximum profit without hazard (risk). This paper provides a comprehensive power exchange system (PX) based on the market for power auctions, including days ahead markets (DAMs), terms ahead markets (TAMs), renewable energies certificates (RECs) and energy savings certificates (ESCs). Power Exchange (PX) does have the potential to enhance its implementation for Indian-based renewable energies sources (RESs), including key barriers to increased adoption. Recent work consists of two main parts, the first half of which comprises the current circumstances of India's electrical infrastructure. The second section also deals by calculating the maximum power of transactions at various PXs agreements. The computation demonstrates promoting the full involvement of renewables provided by PXs (power exchanges) under the Renewable Power Purchase Obligations (RPOs).
