In sum, following corrective disclosures of misleading statements investors should be entitled to recover the entire price decline, including "reputational losses." When purchasing stocks, investors should also be entitled to presume both the integrity of the market, and of management that adopted Codes of Ethics, and to bring lawsuits when management's intentional or reckless misconduct results in losses to their investments.
