Hydrex fills the gaps, helps Arctic conservation

Hydrex affiliate Subsea Industries recently introduced Ecofix, a new filler for rudders, fins, nozzles and other ship gear which it calls 'as tough as the steel itself. The filler is designed to counteract the pitting caused by cavitation on ships' rudders, prior to the application of Ecoshield, Hydrex's rudder protection coating. Using the same basic resin as Ecoshield, it can be applied just one hour before that coating, according to the maker, thereby reducing drydock times.
