Sea-Air-Space Exposition Has Grand Opening at National Harbor

The 2009 Sea-Air-Space (SAS) Exposition May 4-6 drew a record number of attendees and exhibitors to its new venue at the Gay-lord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, Md.rnAdm. Gary Roughead, chief of naval operations (CNO), and Adm. Thad Allen, commandant of the Coast Guard, cut the ribbon officially opening the 2009 SAS May 4. With them were Navy League National President J. Michael Mc-Grath and SAS Chairman Charlie McCullough, a member of the National Capital Council, which served as host of the event.rnAdm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, served as the exposition's first guest speaker, delivering remarks during the Sea-Air-Space Luncheon May 4.
