For many years, historians and others have focused on the concept of "the Atlantic World," and have looked at the biological, economic, cultural, and historical interplay between the peoples of Africa, the Americas, and Europe. Comparatively little attention has been paid to similar interactions in other regions of the globe. That is, until now.
