摘要

We agree with the findings of herbicides in the marine biota, beach sediments and seawater in the study area, and we consider these expected findings common to most if not all urban environments globally. We agree with the authors' views that - and whatever the source of these herbicides may be - it is an area of concern requiring ongoing monitoring and which left unchecked, may pose a risk to marine ecosystems both locally and globally.
