The 'Organic Electronics Valley' Project as an Independent Regional Economy Promotion Measure

The local government of the Yamagata Prefecture has focused its attention on the specialization of organic EL research that is being conducted by Professor Kido of the Faculty of Engineering, Yamagata University and it is supporting the advancement of a policy of joint research with regional firms, development, trial production, actual production and the dissemination of the achievements worldwide. The process of the strategy that is being developed by the Yamagata Prefecture is an unprecedented venture that may in fact involve immeasurable hardships. It includes scouting for regional resources, their evaluation, matching them, integrating public support measures and budget appropriations, etc.
