Should other journals follow our A4 page size?

Science and Public Policy is printed on the standard European paper size of A4, which is not very different from the US Letter size. Many, and perhaps most, social science journals are smaller. We recently considered moving SPP to a smaller size so it would be more in line with other scholarly journals. We concluded that doing so would significantly increase SPPs environmental costs. So we decided to stayed out-of-line with many of our peers.
