ASSESSMENT OF SOME METAL CONTENTS IN GROUND WATER AND CANAL WATER OF NAGAPUR VILLAGE OF YAVATMAL DISTRICT, MAHARASHTRA

摘要

Investigations were carried on ground water quality and canal water quality of Nagapur Village. Some metallic parameters like Calcium and Magnesium were determined. Anions like Fluoride and Iodide were also determined in ground water collected from tube wells and open wells and canal water oflsapur Dam for one year during June 2004 to May 2005. The results were analysed by comparing it with the maximum permissible limit recommended by the United States Public Health (U.S.P.H.), World Health Organisation (W.H.O.), Indian Standard Institutions (I.S.I.) and Indian Council For Medical Research (I.C.M.R.). Fluoride content in the water was higher than the maximum permissible limit.
