摘要

As a part of ongoing effort to develop a new antimicrobial agent, a series of amino methylated benzimidazole hybrids were synthesized. The structures of the target compounds have been confirmed by IR, ~1HNMR and mass spectral data analysis. All the prepared mannich bases have been screened for antimicrobial activity. Most of the compounds exhibited promising activity.
